The Senior Manager will lead clinical and administrative operations for a busy Emergency Room at a well-known 300+ bed medical center in Eastern Texas. Part of a health system that has earned local and national accolades for excellent stroke care, having an accredited chest pain center and as a receiving center for wide array of trauma cases, this hospital and it’s satellite facilities are known as the first line of care for the community.
The Emergency Room Senior Nursing Manager will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the people of East Texas. You will directly oversee all of the administrative and clinical aspects of keeping this ER operating smoothly. Seeing thousands of monthly visitors, this 20-bed Emergency Department requires a skilled leader and a strong manager.
Reporting to the Regional Administrative Director of Emergency and Trauma, the Senior ER Nursing Manager will be responsible for leading a really fantastic team of nurses and support personnel. Directly supporting the ER Manager is a strong CEN Nurse Supervisor and three Emergency Services Charge RNs.
As a clinical leader, you will be the accountable for insuring that ED RNs, Triage and Admitting Registered Nurses, Certified Emergency Nurses (CENs), and support staff are all adhering to clinical protocols and following best practices. The Emergency Nursing Senior Manager will also play a leading role in developing, improving, and continually supporting the education initiatives of the ED. You will act as a coach and mentor to the nurses, drawing out the skills and talent in this fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
