The Nursing Director of Quality and Risk Management will drive clinical quality and safety programs. The Nurse Director of Quality Improvement will be responsible for the strategic development, planning and control of health plan and hospital's quality programs and for leading the implementation of compliant programs at the facility, including associated alliance hospitals and other facilities. The Quality Improvement Nurse Director will facilitate the development of programs and processes that meet regulatory requirements.
The Nurse Director of Quality Improvement will focus on organization-wide systems and process for improvement, including clinical Quality Management, Risk Management, Accreditation Regulatory & Licensure and Patient Safety activities in collaboration with clinical and administrative personnel. The Quality and Risk Management Nursing Director will also serve as Patient Safety Officer for assigned hospitals ensuring practitioner review and oversight meets internal standards.
The Nurse Director of Quality and Risk Management will be responsible for quality program oversight, associated medical staff issues, member concerns and grievances to ensure submission to accreditation and regulatory bodies are timely and accurate; and ensure that processes supporting submissions are reliable. The Nurse Director of Quality Improvement will facilitate health plan assessment of quality programs at the medical center including MDQR.
The Nurse Director of Quality Improvement will develop strong collaborative leadership relationships with the Medical Group, external regulatory agencies, accreditation bodies, employer groups with joint accountability to develop systems and corrective action plans for the facility to meet regulatory compliance. The Nurse Director of Quality and Risk Management will direct accreditation, licensing and regulatory activities and ensures compliance in all applicable settings, including but not limited to MDQR, NCQA, The Joint Commission, DMHC, DHS, Medi-Cal, Cal-OSHA, and CMS.
