Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services, the General Surgery RNFA will enjoy working in this state-of-the art surgical unit proudly using da Vinci surgical systems and other top-of-the-line robotics. The RNFA Registered Nurse First Assist will work with a fantastic team of surgeons, surgical nurses, nurse supervisors, physician assistants, and anesthesiologists in this active unit. With 12 operating rooms in the main OR and 4 operating rooms in the same-day surgery unit, this department performed 14,000 cases in the past year. 

The General Surgery RNFA is responsible for monitoring patient care and triaging patient needs as they arise. The ideal candidate will be skilled in professionally communicating with Operating Room staff to clarify priorities and assign tasks in a timely and effective way. Applicants who complete their BSN within one year of hire are encouraged to apply.
