The Ostomy Care RN will join an established Wound Care department, which has a great track record of yielding excellent treatment results. Using cutting-edge technology and procedures based on evidence-based research, the Wound Care Nurse will join a unit that treats surgical wounds, infections, burns, and occasionally cases that require hyperbaric treatments.
Strong candidates for Wound and Ostomy Care RN will have general inpatient, acute-care experience. Exceptional candidates will also have Pediatric Wound Care experience. This means that experience in medical surgical units, particularly those that deal with severe burn and infections will be valuable additions to the staff here. Beyond this, experience in critical care units (intensive care) and emergency / trauma nurses who want to slow down a bit are all encouraged to apply.
