A 50-bed hospital, about 3 hours from Provo, UT and 30 minutes from the Colorado boarder, is looking for a Nurse Director of Risk Management to join their team.

This facility is accredited by the Join Commission, it has been named in the Top 100 Rural Hospitals across the country, and It was named in the 100 Top hospitals by IMB. This hospital has a been recognized for numerous areas and for a number of services. It has an emergency department that sees more than 14,000 patients per year; it’s a designated Stroke Receiving Facility, it’s a Level IV Trauma Center, and its Chest Pain Accredited. On top of the hospitals’ main designations, the facility also offers a full range of services including inpatient and outpatient specialized services, Orthopedics, Obstetrics, a level II NICU, Neurology, Lab services, and much more. Although the hospital is considered rural, its patient base and surrounding community are large. The hospital serves more than 40,000 residents in two states.
The hospital is looking for a Director of Risk Management who can play multiple roles. The Risk Management Director will:
- Manage Insurance programs.
- Analyze Risk Management data.
- Identify opportunities for improvement.
- Formulate and review policies to maintain quality.
- Protect the human and financial assets of the organization against losses, patient care interferences, and accidental incidents.
This hospital is looking for a Risk Director who has an understanding of healthcare, who can be a strong leader, who has experience in performance improvement, and can effectively communicate with senior leadership and staff.
