Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nursing Director of Cardiac Cath (Catheterization) Services will play a crucial role in leading clinical and administrative operations within this unit. Serving as a champion for great patient care, the Director will collaborate with leaders from Intensive Care, Surgical Services, and Medical Surgical to contribute to improving the continuum of care.
Supporting the IR / Cath Lab Director will be one RN Cath Lab Supervisor and two IR/Cath Lab Charge Nurses. Additionally, this person will oversee an exceptional team of Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, and Electrophysiology RNs, Catheterization Lab Technologists, and additional support staff.
The Cardiac and Vascular Service line in this hospital offer a wide range of both interventional and preventative services to patients. With an outstanding interventional cardiology medical team and an experienced nursing team, the RN Director will lead operations in a department that is able to offer Cardiac Catheterization, Angioplasty, and Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation services, as well as Echocardiography, Vascular Surgery, and a wide range of progressive preventative therapies.
The Cardiac Services Nurse Director will oversee a busy Cath Lab department, as well as the Interventional Radiology program. This person will take clinical and administrative oversight of an outstanding nursing and support team, spearheading an ambitious quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiative. Additionally, the Nursing Manager will have direct impacts on the financial performance of the unit, support and develop educational programs, and serve as a mentor.
