Reporting directly to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer, the RN Manager Pediatric Emergency Room will be well-supported by four Assistant Managers of Pediatric ER, a Pediatric Emergency Services Clinical Nurse Specialist, and a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department nursing staff.
This pediatric Emergency Room is a top referral center for the region and receives the sickest pediatric patients. A designated Trauma Center, this medical center sees highly complex cases from five states. Other services include Open Heart Surgery, Organ Transplant, PICU, NICU, and Oncology.
The RN Manager Pediatric Emergency Department will collaborate with the ED Medical Director, Pediatricians, and clinical staff to manage, assess, and enhance patient care. The RN Manager Pediatric Emergency Department will provide guidance on nursing practice, hiring and retention, budgeting and quality improvement.
The ideal RN Manager Pediatric Emergency Department candidate has clinical experience in a fast-paced Pediatric ER setting. The RN Manager Pediatric Emergency Department will bring their clinical expertise to several long-term projects including throughput and overall length of stay, patient safety, staff engagement, and patient/staff satisfaction.
