Reporting to the CNO / VP of Patient Care, the RN Director Education will support policy and procedure development across the health system. Reporting to the Director is a strong CNE (Certified Nurse Educator) Nursing Professional Development Manager. Together, the Manager and Director will oversee 3 unit based RN Educators, a physician educator, and two ancillary hospital education specialists. This means a background in acute care and hospital education will be important to succeeding in this role.
The RN Director Nursing Education will lead in the development and implementation of education across the continuum of care at this Non-Profit Acute Care Hospital. This person will work with a team of educators to evaluate the educational needs for administrative, professional, and clinical personnel, while supporting the hospital’s goals of compassionate community health care. Steering these initiatives will require a strong background in nursing education, as well as the ability to understand how adult education functions.
