Reporting to the Regional Pharmacy Director, and by extension to the Regional CPO, the Regional Acute Care Pharmacy Manager will exemplify high pharmacy acuity, professional demeanor and strong leadership. In assisting leadership, the Inpatient Regional Pharmacy Manager will oversee all pharmacy operations in the area, help improve the distribution of medication by utilizing information systems and technology, and support healthcare leaders and staff meet their goals. Furthermore, the Regional Healthcare Pharmacy Manager will be an active participant in healthcare initiatives and committees.
Serving as the Pharmacists in Charge for multiple pharmacy departments, the Regional Acute Care Pharmacy Manager will be tasked with meeting with Board of Pharmacy, DEA, California Department of Public Health, FDA, TJC, CMS and other State and Federal agencies. In doing so, the Regional Inpatient Pharmacy Manager will continually update their pharmacy team regarding new guidelines and laws.
In addition to working with hospital leadership, the Regional Acute Care Pharmacy Manager will lead a strong team of staff pharmacists, pharmacy supervisors. Furthermore, the Inpatient Regional Manager of Pharmacy will manage all operations of the pharmacy, including scheduling, drug supply, medication disbursement and distribution, department policy development, and budgetary compliance.
