The Quality Improvement Supervisor will report to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to ensure that patients are receiving the best care possible. Supporting the Director are a strong team of RN Leaders who oversee a wide range of Quality and Risk Management Services. Included is a CPHQ Quality Program Manager, a CIC Infection Prevention Nursing Manager, a CPHRM Risk Manager, and additional staff to support Patient Safety, Professional Staff Services, Accreditation, and Licensing. This Supervisor will also get the chance to work with stellar leaders across organizational and departmental boundaries in promoting an environment of education, collaboration, and innovation.
The Quality Improvement Supervisor will facilitate an organized approach to departmental activities in order to mitigate medical/legal liability while ensuring the department meets the requirements of customers and regulatory agencies alike. This person will work closely with the medical, nursing, and support staff to enhance compliance and patient safety, while working closely with designated Chiefs of Service and Department Administrators to address patient care issues with a goal toward resolution while maintaining confidentiality. The Supervisor will also educate and support the Service Area in developing new strategies for Total Quality Management and QA throughout.
