Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

The Primary Care Nurse Practitioner will be part of a community hospital that has been recognized for its comprehensive care programs: acute care services, diagnostic imaging, emergency services, gastroenterology, laboratory services, pediatrics and primary care. The Primary Care Nurse Practitioner will be directly reporting to the Primary Care Medical Director and will be working closely with a team of well tenured Primary Care Nurse Practitioners. The Primary Care Nurse Practitioner will also have the opportunity to work closely with clinic registered nurses, OBGYN, medical assistants and physicians.     

The Primary Care Nurse Practitioner will be working in a supportive environment that uses a team approach that focuses on the patients health, and the overall health of the patient's family unit. The primary care department is newly renovated with the latest technology providing a full continuum of care.  

In this position the Primary Care Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for the day to day activities of the department that will include, identifying, evaluating, addressing disease prevention while administrating quality patient care. The Primary Care Nurse Practitioner will implement care plans, discuss goals with patients, educate patients about risks and benefits, monitor progress and administer medications. The Primary Care Nurse Practitioner will participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay in compliance with all appropriate Washington Health Department and federal health standards.
