An excellent growth opportunity has recently opened for an RN Charge Nurse to oversee the PreOp and PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) of this busy Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in the San Fernando Valley. Join a fantastic team of clinical nurses in an incredibly busy center.
This AAAHC Accredited facility in the San Fernando valley is a key partner for many of the area’s hospitals and medical centers. The PreOp / PACU Charge Nurse will join an ASC that offers a truly multispecialty environment, including procedures like Gastrointestinal (GI), Pain, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, ENT, and General Surgical procedures. Like most Ambulatory Surgery Centers, this operates during the day, and doesn’t require its employees to work nights or weekends. This makes it an excellent choice for a skilled PACU Charge Nurse who’s looking for better hours.
Reporting to the ASC Director of Nursing, the PreOp Pacu Charge Nurse will play an important part in supporting and maintaining the clinical operations and patient flow of this 6 Operating Room facility. Working closely with the CNOR Operating Room Supervisor, the Charge Nurse will lead a team of Pre-Operation Testing and Anesthesia Education RNs, who also double as post anesthesia / recovery nurses.
The PACU Charge Nurse will take the leading role in overseeing patient care and quality improvement initiatives throughout the Pre-Operation Testing and Anesthesia department, as well as the Post Anesthesia Care Unit / Recovery department. This means that the Charge Nurse will serve as a clinical educator and mentor, with a keen understanding of evidence-based best practices with regards to quality patient care. This person will also take responsibility for the financial well-being of the PreOp and Recovery areas, supporting scheduling dynamics and materials handling
Just Northwest of Los Angeles you’ll find the San Fernando Valley, an amazing region that’s filled with natural beauty, fantastic neighborhoods, and a distinct character all its own. Close to the lights, excitement, and entertainment of Los Angeles, “The Valley” is also just a short drive from the cool waves and sun-drenched beaches of the Pacific Ocean. The ASC PACU Charge Nurse will live in an area with great schools, an affordable cost of living, and enough excitement to keep you coming back for more.
One of the largest perks of working in an Ambulatory environment is the work - life balance. The PreOp PACU Charge Nurse will get nights and weekends off, giving you the flexibility to pursue your dreams and further grow your clinical skills. This person will also receive a competitive compensation and generous benefits package.
