The Assistant Physical Therapist will have the amazing opportunity to work in a 130+ bed medical center that houses one of the best Physical therapy programs in the state. This medical center has one of the best comprehensive rehabilitation programs in both their acute and outpatient facilities. 

In this role the Assistant Physical Therapist will conduct evaluations and set up treatment programs for all patients referred to physical therapy. Treatment programs will help patients reduce pain, improve, and restore mobility through strengthening exercises, stretching, balance training, and aerobic conditioning. As a Hospital Physical Therapy Assistant you will chart, write and review progress reports to referring physicians and consult with Prosthetists and Orthotists and suppliers of patient care products. The Physical Therapy Assistant must be able to provide the correct information on Medicare and AHCCS and all other forms and provide correct statistics for Physical Therapy patients.

The Physical Therapy Assistant will also educate staff in departmental hospital concerns and also instruct new staff in safe body mechanics. The PT is also required to attend department meetings, hospital meetings and serve on various committees that orient and train new and continuing staff regarding scope and needs of the Therapies Department and performs other duties as assigned.
