Perioperative Assistant Nurse Manager

An award-winning hospital located in South Central Pennsylvania is currently searching for a dynamic Perioperative Assistant Nurse Manager to assist lead their advanced Same Day Surgery Center.

This hospital is home to roughly 300 licensed beds and has been proudly providing the South-Central community of Pennsylvania for over the past 100 years. The Perioperative Assistant Nurse Manager will be joining a regional leading healthcare system that is known to provide a full-range of services including award-winning cardiac and stroke care, birthing and maternity services, rehabilitation, a state-of-the-art wound care center, and offers hyperbaric oxygen therapies. This hospital has recently been awarded an “A” Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade and has been deemed One of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Coronary Intervention, Orthopedic Surgery, Pulmonary Care, and Critical Care services for multiple years running.

The Perioperative Assistant Nurse Manager will work within a fully equipped Same Day Surgery Center that is known to offer a full-range of surgical services. The Same Day Surgery Center at this hospital is responsible for performing roughly 30-40 surgeries each day. The Perioperative Assistant Nurse Manager will encounter a variety of procedures in the unit, including bariatric, orthopedic, plastics and skin care, urology, breast care, and robotic surgery using the da Vinci Si robotic system. Within the department, the Perioperative Assistant Nurse Manager will be assisted by an advanced team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, clinical nurse educators, and will report to the unit Nurse Manager.

The Perioperative Assistant Nurse Manager should be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and attain a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent required within 36 months of hire date. The ideal candidate for the Perioperative Assistant Nurse Manager will bring at least two years of prior nursing experience that is specific to the Same Day Surgery Center services and should hold prior leadership capabilities.
