Peri-Anesthesia Nurse Manager

This magnet-designated healthcare organization with 900+ acute care beds, is consistently ranked in the top 20 hospitals nationally for services including cardiac surgery, pulmonary, and orthopedics among many more.  The PreOp/PACU Nurse Manager will join an outstanding team dedicated to interdisciplinary collaboration to deliver quality care. 

This prestigious Health System seeks to hire a Nurse Manager, Operations who will embrace our mission of Transforming Care Transforming Lives.  The Nurse Manager, Adult PreOp and Pediatric PreOp/PACU Units, will have clinical oversight of FTE in high-functioning units with strong clinical outcomes/metrics. There are peer-level leaders over multiple service lines. The position reports to the Clinical Operations Director.

The Adult PreOp and Pediatric PreOp/PACU Units care for patients ranging from ambulatory to ICU levels of care. We focus on technically complex inpatient and outpatient surgeries ranging from transplant to minor ambulatory procedures.

The Perianesthesia Nurse Manager will participate in the development of the clinical areas' strategic and operational plans, actively support and promote a professional practice model that encourages staff participation in the development of clinical standards that is collaborative, collegial and utilizes current trends and data in professional practice (clinical and administrative).

The ideal Nurse Manager will hold a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. A Master's degree in Nursing strongly preferred. Three years of experience in inpatient nursing is required.  Nurses hired into leadership positions must obtain a leadership certification within three months of hire.
