The Perianesthesia Nurse Educator will have the opportunity to work in one of Arizona’s most innovative hospitals and collaborate with highly respected medical partners in the area.
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Education, the Perianethsia Nurse Educator will be responsible for the professional development and quality assessment of the nurses within the Pre Op and Post Anesthesia Care Unit. The Perianethesia Nurse Educator will work with the Nurse Manager of Pre Op and PACU and the Clinical Nursing Education department to develop curriculum and continuous education for current department staff and new-hires and focus on utilizing the most advanced evidence-based best practices, technologies and techniques.
The Perianesthesia Nurse Educator will join a fast paced Perioperative Service line with 10+ Operating Rooms, 30+ Pre Op rooms and 20+ PACU rooms. Patient populations vary greatly, and include General Surgery, ENT Urology, Vascular, Thoracic, Heart, Neuro, Podiatry, Ophthalmology, and Oral Surgery. This Unit Cares for patients who have been under minimal sedation, moderate sedation and general anesthesia. This Nurse Educator will be responsible for the professional development and quality assessment of the nurses within the Perioperative Services Department and will also collaborate with other Nurse Educators within the hospital to implement quality improvement initiatives and procedures.
The Perianesthesia Clinical Nurse Educator will work alongside Operating Room, PreOperative, and PACU department directors, managers, staff, physicians, and technicians.
This Nurse Educator will be responsible for the professional development and quality assessment of the nurses within the Perioperative Services Department and will also collaborate with other Nurse Educators within the hospital to implement quality improvement initiatives and procedures.
