Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

A fantastic opportunity has recently been made available in the Oklahoma City Metropolitan area. A reputable community pediatric network is actively interviewing for their next Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will join a strong network of primary care facilities dedicated to children and adolescent care. The Nurse Practitioner will have access to state-of-the-art equipment and the newest technologies, helping provide the highest quality of care. This for-profit network offers both pediatric primary care and pediatric urgent care at all its locations.  

Under the direction of the physician and other medical professionals, the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will help promote teamwork and cooperative effort among employees. The NP will also be supported by a resourceful team of certified pediatric nurses who take pride in the work they do within pediatrics.   

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will provide primary care and urgent care to patients, by diagnosing, establishing and implementing the plan of care. The APRN will ensure the highest quality of care is provided by obtaining a documented history on all patients, preforming physical examinations and administering the appropriate medication. The NP will be expected to step in to emergency situations by responding to conditions, such as: hypoglycemia, hemorrhage, respiratory distress, etc. The NP will also act as an educator and counselor to all patients and patients guardians, helping them understand the patients treatments and conditions.

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will have strong experience of 3 or more years working as a licensed NP. They will have either have their APRN, PNP, FNP and be a registered nurse in the State of Oklahoma and be recognized by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing as being a certified Nurse Practitioner. Being bilingual in English and Spanish is also a huge plus but not required.
