A hospital system with a great reputation is currently looking for a Patient Access Manager to join their revenue cycle leadership team.
This is a growing hospital system that has already accomplished much since its inception. Within the system they have a Trauma Center, providing Emergency Care for nearly 50,000 patients per year, as well as smaller facilities, outpatient network and community programming. They consistently are recognized for achievement in clinical areas and patient satisfaction, including being named HealthGrades America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Cardiac Surgery and achieving Top Performer on Key Quality Measures Recognition from The Joint Commission.
The Patient Access Manager will oversee multiple sites and have administrative and operational oversight of all front-facing revenue cycle functions including insurance information collection, outpatient diagnostic scheduling areas, patient registration, financial clearance, payment collections, and document management for the hospital. The Patient Access Manager will directly supervise Patient Access Supervisors and indirectly supervise a large team across multiple sites.
Reporting to top-level leadership, the Manager of Patient Access will be responsible for the overall success of these multiple areas, with the ability to develop protocols, manage staff and initiative hospital-wide change. They will be responsible for guaranteeing that all admission departments are meeting standards and are compliant with regulations. The ideal candidate will have multiple years of experience in patient-access, insurance verification or revenue cycle. Creatively and strong leadership is a must for this key position!
The ideal candidate for the Patient Access Manager will be someone with a strong background in hospital revenue cycle, patient access or patient experience with a good grasp on the needs of the various clinical areas within the hospital and all dynamics at work within healthcare that influence the revenue cycle.
