A large, acute-care teaching hospital in South East is currently looking for an experienced surgical services nursing leader to join the leadership team as a Surgery Operations Nurse Manager.
This hospital is part of a midsize health care system that serves Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and North Carolina. The system is comprised of multiple acute-care hospitals, urgent cares, Cancer Center and expansive physician practice group. This not-for-profit organization is consistently recognized for their commitment to clinical quality, as well as the clinical and technological advancements made within their hospitals.
The Surgery Operations Nurse Manager will work in this busy operating room that sees cases at all levels of acuity. The hospital is an academic trauma center that is recognized for their consistently high surgical outcomes, state of the art facilities and progressive leadership.
The Surgery Operations Nurse Manager oversees the staff, resources and processes within the clinical and operational areas of the department, ensuring patients and their families experience a seamless, safe and positive surgery. This includes collaboration across departments, scheduling of staff/cases/providers, onboarding and coaching of staff, performance improvement and more.
This role is not an entry-level leadership role. It is, however, an excellent opportunity for a proven manager who is looking to step in to a larger-scope manager role, join an academic environment or who would like to be a manager in a busier or higher acuity environment.
