This exciting opportunity will be targeted to Oncology Registered Nurse RN candidates who have worked in the hospital inpatient acute care or medical group setting. The Oncology Registered Nurse RN will be part of a non-profit healthcare system that is dedicated to providing the best care possible for residents of the communities.

The Cancer Center Registered Nurse RN will work with the Director of the Medical/Oncology Unit regarding inpatients, quality assurance, and physician liaison, and will report to the Cancer Treatment Center Director.  The Infusion Cancer Center Nurse RN will serve as a professional role model for communication, compassion (soft skills), knowledge, and leadership in Medical Oncology care delivery. 

The ideal Oncology Registered Nurse RN should have excellent IV therapy skills, knowledge of chemotherapy drugs, experience working with cancer patients and their families, ability to work well as part of the interdisciplinary team in the treatment and care of sick and/or terminally ill patients and their families, chemotherapy administration certification within 12 months of hire. 

The Oncology Registered Nurse RN will participate in department education, problem solving efforts and staff meetings. The Infusion Cancer Center will oversee patient flow and care delivery and assume a professional leadership role and demonstrates the necessary skills to influence others to achieve positive patient outcomes, and to address behavior that is counter-productive. 

The Oncology Registered Nurse will join a multi-specialty health care organization thrives to provide quality medical care, health education and research activities in a five-county area.
