With combined strong education skills and an in depth critical thinking and specialty knowledge, the Oncology and Med Surg Nurse Educator is a vital asset to the acute care facility. The Oncology and Med Surg Nurse Educator is well experienced in clinical practice, collaborative consultation, education, and will play a vital role in nursing research.
The Nurse Educator will be working in several acute care facilities including critical access to a 200 plus bed hospital part of a local health system. These facilities rank high in quality and safety throughout the departments and the educator team diligently ensures the hospitals maintenance of these accreditations through nursing education. Some educational programs include but are not limited to initiatives that reduce health care acquired infections, use surgical safety checklists prior to surgery, reduce patient falls, reduce patient readmission, and Good Catch Program to increase safety reporting.
