The Oncology and Chemotherapy Nurse Educator will join an award-winning healthcare facility that boasts medical excellence throughout its 300-bed acute-care healthcare institution. The Oncology and Chemotherapy Nurse Educator will work within a state-of-the-art medical facility that is known for providing many Centers of Excellence, including cardiovascular, cancer, stroke, and joint replacement care. This medical facility has also received the Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval for their joint replacement procedures and prides themselves of continuously meeting and exceeding quality patient outcomes.
The Oncology and Chemotherapy Nurse Educator will become a vital member of the oncology nursing team and will work in an environment that provides comprehensive treatment in a calm and compassionate setting. The Oncology and Chemotherapy Nurse Educator will support an oncology department that offers a number of patient-centered diagnostics and treatments including utilizing 3D mammography imaging, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgeries, Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), genetic counseling, infusion therapy, medical oncology, and rehabilitation services. This oncology department is accustomed to caring for a number of conditions including blood cancer, brain and spinal cancer, breast cancer, colon cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, gynecologic cancer, kidney cancer, lung and thoracic cancer, and prostate cancer.
The Oncology and Chemotherapy Nurse Educator will be a true resource within the oncology department and will work in tandem with the unit nursing leadership. The Oncology and Chemotherapy Nurse Educator will maintain a clinically professional environment while providing clinical instruction in regards to nursing policies and procedures within the unit. The Oncology and Chemotherapy Nurse Educator will also be responsible for evaluate the nursing quality within the unit and develop programs to ensure the continued success of the oncology department.
