This state-of-the-art, 250+ bed hospital, seeks an experienced full-time Nurse Manager to lead its team of Case Management and Utilization Review (UR) professionals. Reporting to the Administrative Director of Case Management and Care Transitions, the Utilization Nurse Manager will oversee a vital and busy department. Reporting to this person is a Certified Case Manager (CCM) Supervisor who oversee outpatient, inpatient, and utilization review, as well as two Utilization Management Leads. Indirectly, the Nursing Manager will oversee nearly 20 FTEs in total, and work closely with professionals from across the organization’s nursing units.
The new UM Nursing Manager at this hospital will discover an environment of collaboration, communication, and compassionate care. You’ll guide the operations of a fast-paced case management department with an experienced hand, overseeing both the clinical and administrative aspects of this role.
The Nurse Manager will employ strong financial and budgetary skills, actively managing the Case and Utilization Management (UM) department, in addition to contributing to managed care operations. A key element of this very important role is your ability to communicate effectively across departmental and organization boundaries. Beyond regular reporting on quality, utilization, and care transition metrics to the hospital’s executive team, the Utilization Management UM Nursing Manager also be asked to provide information and assistance to NGOs and the community. Using internal and external tools, various communication channels, and a strong sense of responsibility, you’ll be able to positively impact care delivery to this community.
