The Nursing Manager of Post Anesthesia Care Unit will be joining a highly advanced team of clinical professionals within the PACU department. The Nursing Manger PACU will be responsible for assisting the Nursing Director in overseeing the daily operations of the unit. The Post Anesthesia Care Unit is comprised of 15+ PACU beds and multiple isolations rooms that are shared with pre-op and holding departments. The Nursing Manager of Post Anesthesia Care Unit will oversee a team as large as 15+ FTE’s and should be able to demonstrate leadership skills by functioning as a resource when needed. The Nurse Manager PACU will be expected to manage, lead, and support the staff members of the unit. The Nurse Manager PACU should promote safe nursing practices and intervene as needed. The Nursing Manager of Post Anesthesia Care Unit should understand how to maintain operational aspects of the unit including participating in budget preparations, monitoring resources, collaborating with human resources, and solving complex issues. The ideal candidate for this role will have an active nursing license and hold prior experience working within post anesthesia care units with strong prior leadership experience.
