Nurse Supervisor Operating Room (Evenings)

The Operating Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator will cover the evening shift to ensure the overall clinical and operational success of a very busy unit that performs a high volume of both inpatient and outpatient cases. The hospital does all types of surgery at all levels of acuity, including cardiac, oncology, transplant, trauma and peds.

The Operating Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator will be a key member of the leadership team and be responsible for staff supervision, management and support of a large team of medical staff, administrative activities, operational oversight of the shift and working to improve quality of care are a few examples of the scope of this position. The Operating Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator will act as clinical expert and role model to this large and accomplished team.

Effective communication and leadership skills is a must for the Operating Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator as she/he will be responsible for developing programs that meet staff, patient, and community needs and act as a liaison to multiple groups both within and without the hospital. In addition, this person will act as Manager of the unit in absence of the Nurse Manager.
