A Magnet designated hospital located in the St. Louis metro area is currently searching for an experienced Nurse Supervisor of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery to join their award-winning healthcare team.

The Nurse Supervisor of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery will be working within the largest of this health systems hospitals, a location that utilizes more than 1,000 staffed beds. This hospital is nationally known for their world class medical and surgical service line that consists of the most up to date care for cancer, dermatology, diabetes and endocrinology, digestive diseases, ENT, geriatrics, heart and vascular, lung diseases, nephrology, neurosciences, obstetrics and gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, plastics and reconstructive surgeries, psychiatry, radiology, rheumatology, spine and spinal cord, transplant, urology, and wound care services.

The Nurse Supervisor of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery will join a fast-paced perioperative department that is responsible for performing more than 35,000 surgeries annually. The Nurse Supervisor of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery will join a trauma team that is proud to care for more than 10,000 trauma patients each year with a nearly 99% survival rate. The Nurse Supervisor of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery will work within one of the busiest Level I Trauma Center’s in the entire state. The Nurse Supervisor of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery will work within a department that consists of five trauma and critical care rooms, an emergency care area, two full-body CT scanners, and a heliport is located on the roof for quick and easy critical access when needed.

The Nurse Supervisor of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery will assist the unit Nurse Manager to coordinate the comprehensive patient-centered care, personal management and evaluation, maintenance of unit equipment, inventory purchasing, and other administrative functions within the unit. The Nurse Supervisor of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery will work in tandem with an advanced team of trauma clinicians including Trauma RNFA’s, staff nurses, clinical techs, and nurse educators. The Nurse Supervisor of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery will regularly interact with the world-renowned surgeons and anesthesiologists and will utilize the latest surgical technologies to complete many unique procedures. The Nurse Supervisor of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery should have prior operating room circulating experience working on trauma and or critical care surgical cases.
