Director of Risk Management

An exciting opportunity has become available at an award-winning hospital located in Eastern Texas for a Risk Manager Director.

This 131-bed acute care hospital values its commitment to excellence in quality and safety and provides patients and the community with quality and safe care. This full-service facility offers a wide array of specialty services including surgical OR, emergency services ER, cardiology, women’s services OB, and orthopedics.

The Risk Management Nurse Director will join a team of dedicated individuals! The Risk Manager will develop and administer risk management programs, create and modify policies to comply with safety legislation, JCAHO, HIPAA, and industry practices. The Risk Management RN will coordinate and develop hospital-wide programs for quality patient care and risk-free services and act as the liaison to attorneys, insurance companies, and individuals. The Risk Manager will also be responsible for investigating any incidences that may result in an asset loss and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management. 

The Director Risk Management will demonstrate excellent communication skills and will have the opportunity to join a compassionate team of health care providers. A Bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 7 -10 years of experience in the field. The Risk Management Nurse must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
