Nurse Practitioner Skilled Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

A small, Critical Access Hospital in beautiful Northern California is looking for a Nurse Practitioner Skilled Nursing to join their team. This is a wonderful opportunity to be a part of the management team and set your own hours!

The hospital provides patient centered care to improve quality of life. They offer a wide range of services and they have just built a brand new wing at their hospital. The NP will be working at both of their Skilled Nursing Facilities as needed. They are also a Frontier Hospital.

Reporting to the Medical Director and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Skilled Nursing Advanced Practice Provider is part of the management team. The NP/PA works with physicians and nursing staff to ensure quality patient standards are met. This is a brand new position which allows a very flexible schedule. This position requires 3+ years’ experience, clean DEA, and AANP or ANCC Certification.  RN experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, Rehabilitation Facility, or Geriatrics a plus.

Responsibilities for the Skilled Nursing NP/PA include rounding in the physician’s place, patient assessments, charting, monthly assessments, and the NP/PA will be working at both of the hospital’s Skilled Nursing Facilities as needed. They will be providing healthcare services to residents at the SNF. They will also be responsible for taking call and they will work with mostly geriatric patients.
