Reporting to the Director of Wound Care, the Nurse Practitioner Inpatient Wound Care NP will be the sole Advanced Practitioner on the unit. The Nurse Practitioner Inpatient Wound Care NP will be well-supported by a tight-knit team of WOCNs and support staff. While the Nurse Practitioner Inpatient Wound Care NP will often work independently, this Advanced Practice Clinician will collaborate and cooperative often with administrative, clinical, and academic personnel.
This community-based hospital sees roughly 4,000 wound care patients annually and is a regional referral center. The Nurse Practitioner Inpatient Wound Care NP will observe signs and symptoms of illness, physical condition, and reactions to treatment in order to adjust patients’ treatment for safe continuity of care. Varied day-to-day responsibilities include interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, staff education and support, and making interdepartmental referrals.
