Reporting to the CPHRM Director of Risk Management, the Risk and Patient Safety Nurse Manager will play an important role this Acute Care Hospital. This person will have the opportunity to work closely with CPHQ Quality Management, CIC Infection Prevention, and CJCP Accreditation professionals in the administration of the hospital.

The Risk Nurse Manager will undertake a complex and integral role, and work with a wide array of healthcare professionals across the organization. This person will spearhead Risk Event and Incident Management, reporting metrics and data to the proper regulatory agencies. The Manager will also play a large role in managing claims against the staff and physicians. Other responsibilities that the Nurse Manager of Risk and Patient Safety will take on are keeping track of legislative trends, following the impact they may have on healthcare.
