An Award winning Northern California Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Manager Oncology to join their comprehensive cancer center
The Oncology Service Line Nursing Manager will be managing a busy 25-bed unit and supported by tenured and skillful Charge Nurses and approximately 80 Staff Nurses. The Manager of Oncology will be part of a team that inspires courage in patients and encourages family participation at every step of the journey.
The Medical Center is known for their aggressive and progressive cancer care approach of: minimally invasive robotic surgery, customized chemotherapy, brachytherapy radiation, and Cyber-knife Technology. The Radiation Oncology uses Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy and Image Guided Radiation Therapy.
The Nurse Manager Oncology will report to the Cancer Center Service Line Director, and will be supported by a team of Assistant Managers, Supervisors and Charge Nurses. Within the unit the Oncology Manager will collaborate with oncology nurses, dietitians, social workers, educators, advanced practice nurses and physicians.
The Nurse Manager of Cancer Services will also assume fiscal responsibility for the unit budgets, serve as a liaison with medical staff and other personnel, promote the internal growth and development of each employee, support nursing research and assure patient advocacy.
