The Nurse Manager of Surgical Critical Care will work within a 20+ bed unit that is broken down into intensive care beds and surgical stepdown beds. This hospital is known to provide nationally recognized cardiac care along with providing surgical intensive care services for thoracic, neurologic, and even gastroenterology cases. The Nurse Manager of Surgical Critical Care will work to support the unit Nurse Director and assist the staff in all day-to-day operations. This Surgical Intensive Care Unit completes on average 3-5 patient cases each day and is known to provide top-quality care to each and every patient.

The Nurse Manager of Surgical Critical Care will be expected to lead an advanced team of intensive care nurses. The ideal candidate for this position will have a prior understanding of critical care nursing and hold prior leadership experience. The Nurse Manager of Surgical Critical Care will be expected to define, maintain, interpret, and evaluate the standards of the nursing performed within the unit. The Nurse Manager of Surgical Critical Care will work in a team comprised of Surgical ICU Nurses, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Critical Care Nurse Educations, among many other ancillary faculties within the hospital.
