Reporting to the Administrative Director of Perioperative Services, the Nurse Manager of PACU will manage a large and busy 25 bed PACU. The Perianesthesia and GI Lab Manager will be supported by skillful Charge Nurses with 80 FTEs across the 2 departments.
The Perianesthesia Manager will collaborate closely with the Operating Room Manager and Manager of Central Sterile Processing in the Perioperative departments. The Nurse Manager of Perianesthesia department will manage the PreOp, PostOp, PACU, and GI Lab.
The Perianesthesia Manager will be accountable for the overall management and leadership of a unit or a group of patient care units within Nursing Services. The PACU Nurse Manager will be responsible for all clinical and operational activities of the units in accordance with the Medical Center mission, vision, and value.
The Nurse Manager of Perianesthesia will be responsible for the administration, fiscal management, program development, staff education, performance review, quality management, daily operations and performance improvement of the Pre-Operation, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit and GI Lab.
