The Nursing Manager of Palliative Care will join a group of non-profit health care facilities that are constantly growing and evolving in the metropolitan area. The Nurse Manager of Hospice Department will be responsible to organize, supervise, monitor and evaluate the department functions and activities for the Hospice Service Program. The Palliative Care Nurse Manager will have successful leadership experience of a Hospice program and strong understanding of Joint commission and federal/state regulations is required.
Reporting to the Director of Care Coordination and Transitional Care, the Manager of Palliative Care will develop policies, procedures, and standards of care for the Palliative Care Program, participate on assigned committees and task forces, facilitate group meetings involving patients, family, and staff as needed, provide effective conflict resolution between patients, families and staff as needed, and communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing. The Manager of Palliative Care will be the leader of the department and has the ability to create and empower teams to embrace and implement change that will improve the clinical, operational, and financial performance.
