The Nurse Manager of Oncology and Palliative Care will be working for a hospital that is part of a growing and financially stable non-profit medical center. Reporting to the Nurse Director of Medical Surgical, the Nurse Manager of Oncology and Palliative Care will be responsible for the twenty-four (24) hour planning, organizing, directing and controlling of the daily operations and clinical practice of Oncology and Palliative Care department in order to provide quality individualized patient care, to patients ranging from neonate to geriatric on the age continuum.
The Nurse Manager of Palliative Care and Cancer Center will also assume fiscal responsibility for the unit budgets, serve as a liaison with medical staff and other personnel, promote the maximum growth and development of each employee, support nursing research and assure patient advocacy.
The Palliative Care and Oncology Service Line Nurse Manager will be managing a busy 25 bed unit and supported by tenured and skillful Charge Nurses and approximately 60 Staff Nurses. The Manager of Cancer Center and Palliative Care will be part of a team that embraces open door policy, family atmosphere and positive attitude.
