Nurse Manager of Emergency Services

An accredited acute care hospital located in the Mid-Ohio Valley is currently searching for an experienced Nurse Manager of Emergency Services to join their award-winning healthcare system.

This not-for-profit hospital system is home to over 250 licensed beds and is regionally known to provide a variety of medical and surgical services to the surrounding communities. The Nurse Manager of Emergency Services will work within a clinical community that has provided the immediate regions with advanced clinical care for over the last 100 years. This hospital offers a wide-range of clinical specialties including behavioral health, oncology, emergency and trauma, general surgery, maternity, pediatrics, neurology, orthopedics, pain management, plastic and reconstructive surgery, radiology, rehabilitation, thoracic and vascular care, as well as women’s health services.

The Nurse Manager of Emergency Services will oversee a 40-bed Emergency Department the treats roughly 50,000 patients each year. The Nurse Manager will lead a department that specializes in providing care for any serious injury or illness including acute medical problems, chronic illness complications, and major injuries. Designated as a Level III Trauma Center, this facility partners with award-winning cardiac, orthopedic, neurology, and pulmonology specialists. The Nurse Manager will work amongst an advanced team of Emergency Physicians, Nurses, and Technicians.

Under the direction of the Nurse Director, the Nurse Manager will be responsible for all administrative and clinical functions of the unit on a 24-hour basis. The Nurse Manager will oversee a team of roughly 45+ FTE’s and will be responsible for the personnel management, performance improvement, staff engagement, and fiscal management functions of the unit. The Nurse Manager must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing, current West Virginia nursing license, and at least 3-5 years of prior leadership experience.
