Nurse Manager of Emergency Services

An award-winning teaching hospital located in Upstate New York is currently searching for an experienced Emergency Services Nurse Manager to join their accredited healthcare team.

This hospital is home to over 150 licensed beds and is proud to employ over 300 physicians and service over 5 different counties. This facility is associated with a regionally recognized University and is part of a large reputable health system in the area. The Emergency Services Nurse Manager will work within a health system that connects people in the community to a variety of specialists who provide expertise and clinical skills in a number of different medical specialties. Not only is this medical facility prepared to tackle high acuity level cases, but this health system is well equipped to care for the continuum of care needs for the population.

The Emergency Services Nurse Manager will join a highly advanced team of emergency medical professionals who are all credentialed in basic life support, trauma care, pediatrics advanced life support, and advanced cardiac life support. The Emergency Services Nurse Manager will work within a fast-paced Emergency Department that consists of over 10 bays and just over 10 hall beds. This Emergency Department is fully equipped to treat patients of all ages and is proud to never turn a patient away regardless of ability to pay. The Emergency Department is able to provide diagnosis, care, and treatment onsite for almost all patient cases. In the instance a patient needs to be transferred, this hospital is affiliated with a large health system in the area that is partnered with many service-specific hospitals.

The Emergency Services Nurse Manager will have 24-hour responsibility and accountability for the delivery of patient care within the emergency department. The Emergency Services Nurse Manager will identify goals and opportunities for the defined areas that are consistent with organizational goals. The Emergency Services Nurse Manager will be expected to effectively interact with organizational leadership in support of the annual operating plan, hiring and retention, performance improvement activities, and participation on management teams and other committees as assigned. The Emergency Services Nurse Manager should have extensive prior knowledge of emergency nursing and should hold managerial experience.
