The Nurse Manager of Acute Geriatric Unit will work with a Medical Center that is part of growing and expanding non profit health system. The Clinical Nurse Manager of Acute Geriatric Unit will be responsible for the twenty-four hour planning, organizing, directing and controlling of the daily operations and clinical practice of the Acute Geriatric department. The Nurse Manager of Acute Geriatric Unit will report directly to the Nurse Director of Acute Care Services and will be supported by Nurse Managers and 80 skillful staff nurses.
The Nurse Manager of Acute Geriatric Unit will manage the team in order to provide quality individualized patient care to patients ranging from neonate to geriatric on the age continuum and support of the Medical Center’s Mission, Strategic Plan, and Goals and Objectives.
The Nurse Manager of Acute Geriatric Unit will assume fiscal responsibility for the unit budgets, serves as a liaison with medical staff and other personnel, promotes the maximum growth and development of each employee, supports nursing research and assures patient advocacy.
