This Manager will join a Nursing Leadership team that has earned the respect of the region for compassionate patient care, and a dynamic health system that has grown its service lines to and offerings to meet the needs of this community. Offering inpatient services like Emergency, Critical Care, Radiology, and Laboratory, as well as outpatient Clinic-based services, this community medical center has earned its outstanding reputation.
As a clinically compassionate, yet administratively savvy candidate, you will manage all aspects of the Home Health program and report to the Chief Nursing Officer. Reporting to the Home Health Nurse Manager are 10-12 FTEs, including Home Health RNs, Registered Nurse Case Managers, RN Palliative specialists, and Rehab Nurses, who visit and evaluate patients after discharge. This tightknit group of nurses is well-known in the medical center to be caring, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable family. They support each other both clinically and emotionally. A large part of keeping a family like this together is the ability to communicate effectively through various high and low-tech means.
Administratively, the Nurse Manager of Home Health will act as the fulcrum for a number of departmental operations. You will serve as a liaison and point of contact between Acute Care Providers, Skilled Nursing Facilities, and post-acute caregivers & Case Managers. You will have control over developing annual budgeting guideline, procedural improvements, and evaluating staff competencies. Most of all, the Nurse Manager of Home Health will need flexibility. Due to the travel-heavy nature of this position, you should be able to multitask well.
