This acute care medical facility has a level I trauma center and a level I pediatric trauma center with over 400 licensed beds. The Nurse Manager Emergency Services will see over 50,000 patients on average yearly. This teaching hospital has received a Leapfrog Grade “A”, Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award, and is accredited by the Joint Commission Certification for coronary artery disease and open-heart surgery. With a stroke door to treatment time averaging 20 minutes, the Nurse Manager Emergency Services will be a part of one of the state’s most advanced stroke centers.
The Nurse Manager Emergency Services will work in a fast-pace, innovative environment. They will be responsible for improving patient care by organizing, coordinating, and monitoring patient outcomes. The Nurse Manager Emergency Services will oversee Emergency RN staff, Charge Nurse ED, Trauma RN, Critical Care RN and others. The Nurse Manager Emergency Services will report directly to the Director of Emergency Services. Working cohesively with each other, both positions will work to improve patient outcomes, provide leadership to RN’s, and achieve all goals and targets for the department.
The ED Nurse Manager will communicate effectively and plan and develop initiatives for nursing services. They will provide strong leadership capabilities within the team.
