The Emergency Department at this 300-bed acute care hospital see 30,000+ annual patients and is an accredited Level II Trauma Center. The Emergency department has a large number of patient bays and this department provides 24/7 care in an efficient setting that utilizes a newly implemented fast-track area to expedite emergent care to lower acuity patients.
The Nurse Manager will lead an Emergency Room staff that is supported with a unit-based educator and many of the ER nursing staff have their certified emergency nurse (CEN) credentials. Assistant Nurse Managers provide around the clock coverage to support the Emergency Department Nurse Manager with staffing, patient assignments, patient flow, staff scheduling, hiring and administrative tasks.

The Trauma Program Director, Trauma Quality Analyst and Medical Director work closely with the Emergency Room Nurse Director & Manager to ensure these high acuity patients receive high quality patient care and are achieving quality outcomes.
