Nurse Manager Critical Care ICU

A 200 bed Southern Oregon Medical Center is looking for a Nurse Manager to oversee their Critical Care Unit.

This Hospital is part of a large and stable healthcare organization, with facilities throughout the region. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for the 24 hours supervision of the 16 bed ICU and 8 bed Cardiac ICU.

The Nurse Manager of the Intensive Care will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the unit. The Nurse Manager of Critical Care will provide guidance on nursing practice, hiring and retention, budgeting and quality improvement.

The Nurse Manager of Intensive Care Unit will oversee 2 units with 24 beds with over 100 FTE’s. The Center exceeds national standards for care during a heart attack, and has excellent quality ratings and patient satisfaction scores.  The Nurse Manager Critical Care will report to the Director of Acute Care Services.

The CCU Nurse Manager will report to the hospital tops nursing management and be responsible for developing and implementing nursing policies, procedures, and services for the Critical Care Unit. To ensure proper staffing for the ICU the Intensive Care Unit Nursing Manager will hire and train the unit’s clinical staff. The ideal Critical Care Nurse Manager will be a hands-on leader that can provide direct patient care if need and encourages and develops the CCU team to perform at a high level of excellence.
