Nurse Manager Critical Care and Step Down

A 100+ bed hospital in beautiful eastern Illinois now seeks an experienced Nurse Manager to oversee their Critical Care and Progressive Care Units.  This growing department desires a transformational leader to lead their patient centered Critical Care Team.

The Nurse Manager of the Intensive Care & Telemetry will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the units. The Nurse Manager of Critical Care & Step Down will provide guidance on nursing practice, hiring and retention, budgeting and quality improvement.

The Nurse Manager of Intensive Care Unit and Telemetry will oversee roughly 75 FTE’s. This technology based hospital exceeds national standards for care during a heart attack, and has excellent quality ratings and patient satisfaction scores.  The Nurse Manager Critical Care will report to the Director of Acute Care Services.

The CCU Nurse Manager will report to the hospital tops nursing management and be responsible for developing and implementing nursing policies, procedures, and services for the Critical Care Unit. To ensure proper staffing for the ICU the Intensive Care Unit Nursing Manager will hire and train the unit’s clinical staff. The ideal Critical Care Nurse Manager will be a hands-on leader that can provide direct patient care if need and encourages and develops the CCU team to perform at a high level of excellence.
