A top-teaching hospital located in the heart of Queens County is currently searching for an experienced Nurse Educator of Medical Surgical Services to join their accredited healthcare team.

The Nurse Educator of Medical Surgical will be joining a clinically advanced team of medical surgical clinicians within the unit. This facility is known to provide cutting-edge inpatient and outpatient services for patients who require treatment for a variety of medical surgical issues. The Nurse Educator of Medical Surgical Services will work within a department that cares for patients dealing with conditions such as COPD, post-surgical, diabetes, syncope, sepsis, UTI’s, renal failure, and a number of other conditions.

The Nurse Educator of Medical Surgical Services will act as a clinical leader within the medical surgical service line. The Nurse Educator of Medical Surgical Services will be responsible for planning, designing, and evaluating the educational programs and staff competencies within the department. The Nurse Educator of Medical Surgical Services will collaborate with the Nurse Manager and Nurse Director to identify the educational needs within the unit. The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 4 years in the clinical nursing setting as well as at least 3 years in an educational role. A Master’s degree in nursing is required for this position.
