Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse Director Stepdown will be accountable for overseeing the pulmonary stepdown unit over the 30-bed unit with over 45 FTE’s, composed of nurse managers, coordinators, registered nurses , technicians, and other ancillary staff. Responsibilities of the Nurse Director Stepdown will include overseeing department operational workflow, scheduling, managing department budget, preparing all survey and accreditation material, implementing quality improvement initiatives, and assisting with educational programming for new-hire and current department staff.
Ideally, the Nurse Director Stepdown will have previous clinical leadership experience and hold or be willing to obtain a compact or Tennessee Registered Nurse license. The Nurse Director Stepdown will be a motivational leader, excited to lead, educate, and support a dedicated team. Additionally, the Nurse Director will enjoy spearheading projects, cross collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and growing a department.
