The Nurse Director of Psychiatry will join a Joint Commission accredited behavioral health system that has been serving the Central New Jersey community for over 100 years. The facility is one of the largest independent, non-profit central Jersey behavioral health facilities. Known as one of the top providers in the area, this organization specializes in inpatient psychiatric treatment as well as rehabilitation for substance abuse for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
The Nurse Director of Psychiatry will supervise the admissions department, develop training materials, and assist with any issues that arise within the department. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Patient Care Services, the Nurse Director of Psychiatry will be responsible for ensuring patients are correctly triaged to the appropriate department within the facility. The Nurse Director of Psychiatry will act as a liaison between the admissions department and the rest of the units in the facility. The Nurse Director of Psychiatry will be accountable for managing human, fiscal, and other resources needed to support clinical nursing practice and positive patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring previous experience working in admissions or psych focused emergency settings.
