The Nurse Director of Surgical and Perinatal Services will work in a community medical center that has been serving surrounding community for over 80 years. The Operating Room and Women's Services Nurse Director will be part of a team that is proud to offer the "high-tech" advantages of a big-city hospital and the personalized care of a hometown provider.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse Director of Perioperative and Perinatal Services will be supported by Nurse Manager of Operating Room, Nurse Manager of Labor and Delivery, Nurse Manager of Postpartum, Nurse Manager of PACU, Manager of Central Sterile Processing, Charge Nurses and 105 highly skilled and tenured staff members.
The Nurse Director of Perinatal and Perioperative Services will have twenty four hour responsibility and accountability for the safe and efficient operations of all aspects of the Perioperative and Maternal Child Health Services including the Operating Room, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Ambulatory, Endoscopy, Labor and Delivery, Mother Baby, Newborn Unit, NICU, Pediatric departments.
The Nurse Director of Perinatal and Perioperative Services will be responsible for space planning, hiring, supervising and development of all levels of staff including assuring competence. The Surgery and Women's and Children's Services Nurse Director will be responsible for development and adherence to departmental standards utilizing AORN and other professional organizations' as guidance for evidence based practice.
