The Nurse Director of Emergency Services will join a healthcare system that is regionally known as a leader in delivering quality patient-centered healthcare.
The Nurse Director of Emergency Services will oversee all clinical and administrative functions of an emergency department that effectively cares for nearly 50,000 annual visits. This fast-paced emergency department handles a diverse mix of acute cases and is proudly designated as an advanced cardiac life support-providing agency for both adults and children by the American Heart Association. The Emergency Service line also operates a fully functioning Express Urgent Care that is available to both children and adults for all minor emergencies.
The Nurse Director of Emergency Services will have clinical and administrative oversight of the Main ED and Pediatric ED. The Nurse Director will oversee a team of 50+ FTE’s including the Assistant Clinical Director’s and the Emergency Services Clinical Educators. The Nurse Director is responsible for the quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives within the service line including appropriate resource allocation and utilization, operates staff scheduling, ensures patient safety and utilizes evidence-based practices, and is responsible for the department’s fiscal budget.
