This reputable hospital is actively seeking for a dynamic and highly-motivated Nurse Director of Emergency Services who has a Bachelors Degree in Nursing (Masters Preferred) and at least seven years of emergency nursing experience, with at least three years in a management position.
The ideal Emergency Department Nurse Director will embrace the hospital's commitment to patient-centered and family supported care. The Nursing Director of ER is also an individual who is willing to lead and mentor a team of committed and competent staff. The Emergency Room Nurse Director will be a leader who understands and holds the team accountable to a positive attitude, self-accountability and nursing excellence.
The Emergency Room Director will work in a busy 30 bed department servicing over 30,000 annually. This is an exciting time for the ER Director to help the hospital to lead the staff to the next level of practice. The Director of Emergency Room will be accountable for coordinating the activities and providing clinical and administrative leadership for the department.
In collaboration with Senior Administration, the Nurse Director of ER will be responsible for the development of both long and short-range goals, ensure implementation of plans and the meeting of goals, compliance and quality improvement measures.
The Nurse Director of Emergency Services will also collaborate with the Emergency Room physician group and other physicians throughout the organization in the care of our patient population and quality standards. The ED Nurse Director will contribute to the mission, vision, values and strategic plan of the organization and is accountable for the standards of care and practice.
