The Education and Professional Development Nurse Director will work in one of the region's leading not-for-profit hospitals with services including behavioral medicine, cardiac and vascular care, intensive and general medical care, oncology, orthopedic care, rehabilitation, specialized and general surgery, and women’s and children’s services.
The Nursing Director of Education and Staff Development will serve an essential role as a teacher, trainer, mentor, and role model for employees. The Staff Development and Clinical Practice Nursing Director will combine passion for teaching and clinical expertise with outstanding leadership abilities to effectively oversee the educational requirements of the Medical Center. The Nursing Director of Education and Professional Development will also ensure appropriate systems are in place to meet Joint Commission and other regulatory agency standards.
The Education and Clinical Training Nurse Director will be responsible in overseeing New Employee Orientation process, assessing employee educational needs and incorporating findings in the Annual House-wide Plan for Learning. Additionally, the Education and Professional Development Nurse Director will also help to guide and facilitate the success of the RN Residency Program and providing leadership, coaching and mentorship to unit-specific Nursing Educators.
